Three Rivers Childcare

What Our Families Are Saying

Exceeded what I hoped for in every single way

Shawnna’s program has exceeded what I hoped for in every single way. Her home represents a warm, welcoming environment that is always bright and clean and appeals to my daughters and me in a way that is incomparable to anything we had experienced in center-based care.

About Our Educators

Q. Why did you become an Educator?

As a new mother and childcare provider, I see how important it is to set a solid example for our little, impressionable minds. I appreciate the value of early childhood education and wanted to help make an impact on our future generations. Also, kids are just fun! I love seeing the world through a child's eyes and teaching them brings me so much joy.

Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

I love to see children thrive in their environment. It is truly amazing to watch them learn, grow and to help support the development of their individuality.

Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

I have spent many years working with children on the ski slopes, and I am ecstatic to expand little minds from my home.

Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

We came from a small supportive community in rural Vermont, and we believe that a strong community creates a strong foundation for the next generation. Also, we are hardcore outdoor enthusiasts, so spending time outdoors is going to be a daily activity.

About Our School

Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

To make learning fun! The first years of a child's life are full of growth, discovery, and perception. New life skills are built off of these foundations, and I am here to help facilitate and nurture these milestones. I strive to create an educational environment through discovery and play that focuses a child's creativity, critical thinking skills and helps them to learn and grow with confidence and kindness.

Q. What's your school set-up like?

Bright, airy and welcoming with a lot of natural elements. We have a lot of little stations/ toys to perk your child's interest and to help encourage creativity and problem solving, social interaction, interaction with nature, physical activity and most important; FUN!

Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

Morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snacks that adhere to MT DHHS standards. We use organic when possible.

Q. Anything else parents should know?

We will spend some time outside every day (weather permitting). I also incorporate a lot of physical activity like kids yoga, dancing, etc. We will learn how to stay fit and healthy. We also have two Australian Shepards who love children, love to play and LOVE to give kisses.

About Our Parent Relationships

Q. How do you communicate with parents?

Communication is essential. We'll make sure to stay open and fluid in the ways that work best for Three Rivers and the parent. We also ask that parents remain transparent with any questions, comments or concerns.

Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

We expect our parents to be active participants in their child's early developmental education. We ask that you are open to ideas, personal values and beliefs.

Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

Of course! We have an open door policy at Three Rivers and encourage parents to participate when possible.
