About Our Educators

  • Q. Why did you become an Educator?

I love children, and I love to learn! Being an Educator allows me to do both while being home with my own children. Having a small number of children in my program allows me to help with the things that are more challenging because I can offer more of that one on one time that they may need to grasp it.
  • Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

When you see them accomplished something that was difficult for them. The joy in a child’s face when they reach that goal while using their imagination and wonder is so rewarding.
  • Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

I have been doing childcare for nearly 30 years. Over the years, I have taken care of babies with medical issues, respite care, run Sunday school programs with my church, been a homeschool mom, and taken care of special needs children. I also have 5 children of my own that range from 26 down to twins age 7.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

We are a family who believes in God and we actively serve God. While we are not religious, we have a deep relationship with Jesus, which gives us a unique way to love others. I also love to cook, bake, and eat different foods. When I'm not with my family, I mentor young mothers and love to sing.

About Our School

  • Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

Learning should be fun! We have a joy-filled environment with lots of encouragement to make learning less intimidating and more comfortable. It's important to me to have a balance in my program of both social and emotional development.
  • Q. What's your school set-up like?

We utilize the main floor of my house, but we have different learning stations set up throughout the home for things like arts and crafts, reading, and dress-up. Our outside space has different science and play stations to explore.
  • Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

    Breakfast, lunch and two snacks
  • Q. Anything else parents should know?

We provide a safe and nurturing place where your child can feel like they're in a home away from home. We welcome all parent communication and questions so we can work together to best help and support you and your child. Also, I do accept CCAP in my program.

About Our Parent Relationships

  • Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

Communicate with us on all milestones and challenges so we can all celebrate your child’s achievements together. We also ask you to be supportive of the learning at our program.
  • Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

Yes! We would love for you to come by and take part in what your child is doing.
