About Our Educators

  • Q. Why did you become an Educator?

I love being a part of a child’s amazement of the world. To watch young children marvel at new things and witness their whimsical and carefree attitudes is so exciting!
  • Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

To me, the most amazing thing is to see or hear a child applying the skills they have learned and seen and the excitement on their face when they accomplish a difficult task.
  • Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

My love for watching little ones began when I was 12 years old and I started watching kids in my neighborhood as well as my sister. Now, three awesome adult men call me mom. Raising my boys was a wonderful challenge I took seriously when faced with special needs and navigating the available resources to help them be successful. I have been a foster mom and have worked in various child care roles, now, I am thrilled to have my own program. I have taken classes and workshops about working with children varying from potty-training strategies, physical and mental health, and helping picky eaters.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

I live with my sweet little Chloe pup. Chloe is an 11 years old Dachshund mix who loves children almost as much as I do. From the first day my youngest granddaughter slept at my home, Chloe has kept an eye on her. Chloe will not be a part of my program, but something to keep in mind if your child has allergies. I love spending time with my friends and family, including 5 grandchildren. Living in beautiful Colorado, I love walking and hanging out in the mountains and picnics by the streams and rivers.

About Our School

  • Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

I believe early childhood learning and playing are essential to the development of children's socialization, education, and building confidence and self-esteem. I want to provide children with endless opportunities to play, explore, experiment and discover so that they can learn in every way possible. I believe children are mighty learners capable of most things and eager to learn, please and be proud of their accomplishments. I am passionate about how children are treated and respected. All children should be given the opportunity to learn and play in an environment that is safe and fun, loving and supportive.
  • Q. What's your school set-up like?

It is my intent to be your child’s(ren’s) home away from home. It excites me to encourage and watch their perseverance, imagination, and independence grow as they learn and play and start developing into the people they are meant to be. Ms. Carol’s is committed to providing a breastfeeding-friendly environment. I provide a private, quiet area for breastfeeding in my home.
  • Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

I provide gluten-free, peanut-free breakfast, lunch and two snacks using mostly whole foods. I believe in family-style dining, where the children are able to serve themselves.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know?

I am proud to offer a food allergy-friendly child care program so every child can have a loving and safe environment and educational setting. I am excited to help my community work toward meeting much-needed quality, affordable child care. I work with a local nutritionist and I participate in a Child and Adult Care Program (CACP) to ensure I meet the children's nutritional needs and Federal guidelines.

About Our Parent Relationships

  • Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

Open, honest communication and consistency are key to the success of your child. We are the village working together for your child(ren), we need to work closely to provide the best for your child(ren).
  • Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

I welcome parents to stop by. Children love to share their home away from home with their parents!
