About Our Educators

  • Q. Why did you become an Educator?

I initially became an educator so that I could work at home with my children. I soon discovered that I was passionate about teaching and that I had chosen the correct career path for me.
  • Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

I love helping children learn and develop from infancy until they enter kindergarten. I enjoy all of the relationships that I develop with the children and their families as we watch them grow and develop. I also love watching the special relationships the children have with each other to help create our safe and caring community.
  • Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

I have been a licensed Family Child Care Provider for over twenty years. I'm an officer in my local Family Child Care Association, and I recently completed several Early Childhood Education courses and earned my Colorado Child Care Director’s License.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

I'm married and have three children of my own. We are very active in our local community and are big sports lovers.

About Our School

  • Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

I believe that children learn best by exploring their environments. My curriculum is child-centered and aligns with Colorado’s Early Learning and Development Guidelines. I provide developmentally appropriate activities to help each child learn and grow based on their interests.
  • Q. What's your school set-up like?

Our daily schedule includes teacher-led activities such as Circle Time, literacy, math, science, and arts and crafts. Outdoor play and free play are built into daily activities, and we also include opportunities for children to visit learning centers based on their interests.
  • Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

I provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. I participate in a Child and Adult Care Food Program and my meals are homemade. I serve organic fruits and vegetables when available.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know?

I believe in establishing strong partnerships with families so we can work together to support each child.

About Our Parent Relationships

  • Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

I respect that parents are the expert on their own child. It's important that we keep the lines of communication open to help each child learn and grow.
  • Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

Parents are always welcome to visit. We have events throughout the year that parents are invited and encouraged to participate in.
