Little Seedlings

About Our Educators

  • Q. Why did you become an Educator?

After my son was born, I struggled to find affordable and high-quality care for him that fit my unique part-time work schedule. I decided that it was best for both of us to create the environment I was looking for within our own home and provide care to other working families in my community that are looking for the same thing.
  • Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

My favorite part about being an Educator is to see the joy on a child's face when they learn something new or master a task they have been working hard on. It's such a genuine expression of pride and confidence!
  • Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

I spent several summers as a live-in nanny for 2 twin boys during my teen years. I went on to study Communicative Disorders at Utah State, which put me on the path to Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. I have also loved incorporating my studies in American Sign Language with my own son.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

I am the mother to an adorable 1 1/2 year old boy, who will join me in the classroom. We are an active family and enjoy all things outdoors, especially hiking and fishing.

About Our School

  • Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

Children learn and grow based on experiences and what's happening in the world around them. An in-home setting mimics their daily experiences within their own home, and also allows for individualized attention and opportunities for socialization. I think this environment gives them structure and daily routines, but is flexible enough to accommodate each child's needs.
  • Q. What's your school set-up like?

The school is my home, located in Logan, MT and I want it to be the child's "home away from home." My home is open and inviting with a large living/dining room for group activities and a spacious outdoor area to play and explore every day (weather permitting). I think it's important to get kids outside and keep them active.
  • Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

    Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know?

We are a pet-friendly home. Please know that we have two big and cuddly labrador retrievers and a handful of backyard chickens.

About Our Parent Relationships

  • Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

I encourage clear and honest communication. We are a team and the better communication that we have, the better we are able to work together to meet all of your child's needs. I am your partner in this process, and will be here to celebrate milestones and overcome challenges with you and your child.
  • Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

    Absolutely!
