About Our Educators

  • Q. Why did you become an Educator?

I chose to become an early childhood professional because I love bearing witness to a child’s sense of wonder. Watching a child learn through play brings me immense joy! Nothing is more rewarding than to see a child learn something for the first time and to know I played a part in what they have learned.
  • Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

I love providing experiences, relationships and nurturing responsive care for healthy brain development. Being an early childhood education professional is like being a brain engineer!
  • Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

I have experience as a military respite care provider as well as training in expanding quality in infant and toddler care.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

I have been married for 31 years and have three adult children who have blessed me with five grandchildren! I also have a Chihuahua dog who loves playing fetch and belly rubs.

About Our School

  • Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

My philosophy at Homespun Nest is to provide a welcoming, fun and safe environment for each child to learn while assuring parents that their child is safe.

  • Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
  • Q. Anything else parents should know?

I have 23+ years of experience in early childhood education. Additionally, I have continued my education to develop strong observation skills which allow me to tune into the unique needs of each child.

About Our Parent Relationships

  • Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

I expect open communication, honesty, trust, and respect. For my detailed policies and procedures see my handbook.
