About Our Educators

  • Q. Why did you become an Educator?

I believe children need to fall in love with learning early! I’m committed to engaging early learners through play, literature, experience and hands-on practice.
  • Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

I love seeing the look of sheer delight on a child’s face when they learn something new, find something interesting or master a new skill. I also love building relationships with little humans and their families!
  • Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

I have a master’s in education and an endorsement in reading. I taught kindergarten for 10 years and first grade for two years. I am a warm, enthusiastic and loving educator. Kids that come into my school will become part of my extended family! My husband and I have two sweet little girls: Presley who is 4.5 and will be attending preschool, and Hayden who is 1-year-old.

About Our School

  • Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

I wholeheartedly believe children should learn in a literature and language-rich environment and by playing with lots of hands-on experiences. I also believe in whole-child education that focuses on the social-emotional development of little people as much as the academic side.
  • Q. What's your school set-up like?

My school is a cozy in-home environment that has child-centered activities and spots throughout my house. I believe in rotating out stimulating toys, literature and center materials to keep children excited and engaged in learning. I also have a wonderful fully-fenced backyard for lots of outside play and movement (weather permitting).
  • Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

I will provide nutritious morning snacks and lunches. If you prefer to pack your own snacks and lunches, I am happy with that too!
  • Q. Anything else parents should know?

We do have three cats living in our house. They keep to themselves or go outside, but if you have a kitty allergy that is something to consider!

About Our Parent Relationships

  • Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

I expect my parents to keep open communication with me about any questions, concerns or events happening at home. I expect parents to do their best to help their child make it to school on time and on each and every scheduled day so they can maximize their learning potential.
  • Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

Absolutely! I would love to welcome anyone into our program who is interested in volunteering, but it is not a requirement.
