About Our Educators

Q. Why did you become an Educator?

This has always been a calling. Since I can remember, I have always wanted to be a mother and have loved being with kids. I want to be able to support them and give them the essential building blocks in life.

Q. What's your favorite part about being an Educator?

Teaching and being their first experience in the big world. I love the innocence of children, and I love to be there and encourage them in their journey through life.

Q. Do you have any special experience parents should know about?

Being a mother is so special to me, and part of what inspired me to start my program. Ever since I had my little guy, I now see things differently and feel I have so much to offer the children in my care.

Q. Anything else parents should know about you or your family?

Our small family loves making our house a home to everyone in our program. When not at home, we enjoy being outdoors, camping and gardening. We also have a dog and a cat.

About Our School

Q. What's your early childhood education philosophy?

I am inspired by a variety of curricular approaches. I am looking into the Reggio philosophy and looking forward to expanding my knowledge around other curriculums and philosophies.

Q. What's your school set-up like?

My program is set up in a large room in our home. I have a variety of materials available including a dramatic play space, art area, reading corner, and a cozy area. Children can select materials and space to play by themselves, with a friend or in a group. When outdoors, I have a large space with portable play equipment so we can get creative.

Q. What snacks & meals do you provide?

Breakfast, Lunch, and 2 snacks.

Q. Anything else parents should know?

We like to spend as much time outdoors as we can (weather permitting). We also do daily art activities.

About Our Parent Relationships

Q. How do you communicate with parents?

Daily face to face time at pick up and drop off. I also know every parent is different, so I will also text, send Brightwheel updates, and try to accommodate any other ways parents prefer to communicate.

Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

I expect that parents will be upfront and just as reliable I am. I also expect parents to respect my policies and be honest and transparent with me.

Q. Do you encourage visits from parents?

I have an open door policy with all my parents. You are welcome to stop by anytime during the day.
