Nothing is set in stone yet as to what is going on with regards to Milk and on what nights...
It will be good to see what the final club looks like when they are finished with it as I hear the plans are to make it the nicest club in Belfast...
Wonder if they need any DJs lol...
Good luck to Marty, tho I know he won't need it,
Regards,

Shame to hear of these stories of Beach Club... I remember It used to be "the club" to go to...
I havnt stepped foot in the place since I left almost 3 years ago, been barred ever since for some strange reason?? Would love to go back and see the club and to support a few DJ friends!
Has it really got "THAT" bad? I find it hard to believe...!

Absolutely love the place... Lovely surroundings, great staff, polite doorstaff, great selection of drinks and some of Belfast's finest...
Altho I do agree its a bit of "look at me" but Its great for a night out!

Kyle Ill come to you first...
I understand what your saying about the dress code. At the end of the day tho, management reserve the right to refuse admission for whatever reason they see fit. They don't need to give any explanation at all but they do. For example, Cafe Vaudeville. Would you see someone getting in there in desert boots, ear-rings and a Henry Lloyd jumper on? Of course not, so why should Box be any different? They have a specific type of clientele they are trying to attract, if you don't fit that then try somewhere else... As for the bouncer comments I find that a little hard to believe, we all know how people can exaggerate the truth... Knowing most of the doorstaff personally and very well, I know that they would never do something like that, especially to a woman. Without knowing the circumstances though it is very hard to comment...!!
BT - I see what your saying and I would agree. The "Specialist" night clubs, such as shine etc are always gonna be classed differently as they are trying to target a specific market whereas Box is trying to target the students! Having been in and working around Belfast for some 6/7 years Ive still never set foot in Shine, it's somewhere I really wanna go, though Im not exactly a wipeout lol.
Peace out

Thanks dude, did try and go for a chunky electro french house start to the CD, but ended up the music I love haha... I enjoyed doing that mix tho...
Pardon my ignorance, but whats Franchise? Is it a new club? Don't know anything about it ???
I'd be well up for playing anywhere in Belfast again to be honest, just gotta wait for the right offer ... Guess I'll just wait and see what happens...
More than happy with playing in Omagh at the minute, they are awesome down there!

Guys lets be totally honest here... Box is one of the most (if not the) successful nightclubs to hit belfast in I don't know how many years.
It does exactly what it says on the tin.
It is a student based venue and an EXTREMELY successful one at that. I remember when Box first opened all the haters said it would be dead within 6 months etc... Well 2 years on and I was there a few weeks ago and the queue was the biggest Ive ever seen it. The club is more popular now than it ever was.
Granted some nights have become slightly less busy due to the current economic climate etc but it is still the benchmark for nightclubs within Northern Ireland whether you agree with it or not.
Just because you got turned away from the nightclub does not mean the nightclub is crap. Next time you go down, just take a little pride in your appearance... they arent wanting catwalk models through the door, but people that look after themselves... I mean your not gonna get in going down to box in a henry lloyd shirt etc... So use your brain... If thats the type of clothes you wear then maybe you should try the M Club or something.
They cover ever spectrum of music, more than most nightclubs Ive visited around belfast do.
Regards,
Ryan

Brand new to Belfast we have Ollies Nightclub. This prestigious and upmarket nightclub is currently the place to be in Belfast. Situated at the 5* Merchant Hotel in Belfast this nightclub is for serious clubber. Open from Wednesday through to Sunday nights, Ollies has the elegant and trendy feel you would expect from the top of the range nightclub. On Friday night turntable duty is none other than DJ Graeme Brown. One of Northern Irelands premier DJs who has been on the circuit since you were wearing nappies! Playing an eclectic mix of classy house music he is sure not to disappoint. Saturday nights you have the very talented Craig McGivern, freshly back from his gigs in Ibiza. Playing a mixture of Vocal, Funky and uplifting house music, get those dancing shoes on because its time to P.A.R.T.Y.!!!
