The Rhythm factory looks like a small cafe from the front. On a saturday night smokers can be found floating outside the front and past the burly bouncers you pay the small fee for the club and move past a quite quiet bar to the door at the back where it is clear heavy hnoise is being silenced from.

Past the first set of doors is a narrow corridor where the music begins to build in the darkness. The corridor then opens into Room 2 which is a fairly large room spouting loud live drum and bass from the small stage to the right and with a blue hazily lit bar to the left. In the top corner of the room is the entrance to Room 3; a red lit room smaller than the first with sofas in the parameter around the room and men at the back selling balloons filled with laughing gas.

The crowd in the Rhythm factory of a saturday night can be pretty dire but this means its a perfect place to bring a large crowd for a drum and bass night which isnt too expensive. Its quite rough and ready but the crowd do not seem in hardcore drum and bass spirit, some seem to be dancing without any enthusiasm and one or two are slumped in corners, ignored by the management. Overall a good location just down the road from the city with good access to brick lane, it could be more popular though and pull larger names but a good addition to the london underground clubbing scene
