My husband and I went here over the Easter weekend. It's somewhere neither of us have been before and we thought we'd give it a try.
Walking in, we were immediately met by a smiling waitress. I was surprised that they weren't overly busy. There was a nice atmosphere to the place and looking around, it had some very stylish decor (including in the bathrooms, which is strangely a nice surprise). I did find that even though the restaurant was large, it had a bit of a cluttered feeling, with so many tables. I wouldn't have liked to have been there, had they been majorly busy.
The service was good and reasonably quick. You weren't made to feel like they were in a rush to get you fed and out the door for the next person.
We found the menu was extensive, but slightly over-priced. Although the food was of a decent portion and was all freshly made. I loved the fact they had an open kitchen so you could see what was going on. I didn't notice anyone leaving anything on their plate and I know we certainly cleared ours. You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients.
While we were in there, we noticed a lot of families dining here as well. The restaurant certainly seemed child-friendly and there was a lot on the menu I think kids would love. You've got new things but also some of the old favourites if you have a child who's a bit of a fussy eater.
Near the bar is a small deli, just in case you like the food so much you want to take it home with you. This was a nice touch and something you don't often see.
I was pleasantly surprised by Artorios and I think it's somewhere we'll be going again.
Sometimes you don't fancy going to a restuarant, but you just want to go somewhere you can relax and enjoy your time.
Marmalades is that place for me. It has proper slabs of cake instead of crumbly slices and fresh coffee. Everything is reasonably priced for the size of the portions you get.
It's the kind of place you can go with friends or get a table by yourself and just take a good book to get lost in.
It's a little gem hidden in The Royal Arcade and is a really good place to be if you're a bit of a people-watcher, with their indoor and outdoor seating.
I have to say it's a little cosy, and by cosy I mean slightly small, so if it's busy in there it can feel slightly crowded, but you could always take a table outside.
Definately somewhere to stop by if you're taking a quick trip into the Norwich City Centre.
If you like authentic Indian cuisine this is definately the place to eat.
I love Indian food, so I always try Indian restaurants when I come across them and this is one I'm certainly glad I walked into.
You walk into a place that has a beautiful decor, and are greeted by attentive waiters. The service is very friendly, and one of the best things about it is the fact that you're not rushed. I always hate going to places that near enough as soon as you sit down they want to rush you onto the next course and out the door. There is absolutely no sense of this in such a relaxed atmosphere.
There's a wide variety of goodies on the menu. The food and dining experience is definately excellent value for money.
I have to rave about this place. The food is amazing here. I'm a bit of a picky eater and yet even my fussy tastebuds were tantalized.
The atmosphere is great and the service certainly matches.
I think my favourite thing here is the fact that the service and the quality of the food is of a consistently high standard no matter how many times you go there.
The only fault I can pick out is that you really do have to book in advance as they are very popular.
Definately a place to try out, if you're looking for somewhere new to eat in Norwich.
This event started last night, and I was lucky enough to go as a member of the press. Norwichristmas is in its second year, with about 20 organisations involved. These 20 organisations have been planning this 12 day event has taken a year to plan, and I have to say, that year of planning was definately worth it.
After sitting down, drinking mulled wine, and eating canapes (fishy doo dads), we watched a Hockey Game. Don't ask me who won, as all I saw was men in Hannibal Lecture masks, getting aggresive with sticks. It was fun. Then there was a speech from the Mayor.
Straight after this, there was the Pizza Making session. Getting covered with grease and making pizza, is one of the best things I've done in a long while, and we got a free pizza out of the deal. The pizza making was courtesy of Pizza Express.
Ice Skating was possibly the best event of the evening. Having not done it in about 8 years, I was all over the shot. I really wished I'd learn how to turn before I hit the side panel. :S
Other events of the evening consisted of the Craft Fair, which will be there throughout the 12 days, and they had some awesome gift ideas for xmas, all reasonably priced. Carol singers really brought out the festive feeling, singing all the classics.
All in all it was a fantastic evening, and I think the next 12 days will be no exception. Definately something to go to if you can find the time.

It beggars belief doesn't it? What gets me is that only the flimsiest attempts have been made to justify it..
Did you get the 2.5%? River Island and John Lewis have already started! Did you go to the House of Fraser sale too? But yes thats a good shopping day. OBTW i got my bro a top in the end. Although he shouted at me and said i had better not have got him any clothes they were not on his list. However my mum likes it so if he kicks off she'll go on about how shes sick of him looking like a tramp. xXx
