Last Friday i.e. 2nd January I bought 4 tickets with my debit card to see Indian film Gajini at Cineworld southside, after an hour or so I booked one more ticket of same film with my same debit card as someone else wanted to join us. Everything was ok till all 5 of us reached to Cineworld, but when I put my card in the machine I got 4 tickets out, which I had booked first. I put my card again in the machine to get the last ticket but machine could not find the booking I put my card in another machine but I got the same reply. Then we send the 3 ladies to see the film as the film was already started and my friend I joined the very long queue to buy one more ticket, when we reached at the counter I told the story to the lady who was serving us, she also checked on computer and gave the same reply. We ask her if we can buy one more ticket but she told the film is fully booked. My friend asked me to join the ladies who were already sitting inside and he bought one ticket for another film. Today when I took the mini print out (Bank statement) I found out two transactions from cineworld for GBP 33.40 and GBP 8.35. I cannot understand when we were trying for the ticket we did not get it while the Cineworld had already charged us for that. Now I am very upset because I was charged for the service which was not provided to us. And because of that we missed begnning of the film and one of us has to see another film. I hope if something can be done to avoid these thing happening again.
