A friend of mine took me there for drinks a couple of years ago. I loved the atmosphere and cocktails where great.
The Wellington has a new look... having been refurbished just a few weeks ago.
It’s a great spot to hang out on a sunny Saturday afternoon, especially if you can grab a table outside.
The place boasts friendly staff and word has it that the food is good too.
I had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Waterway a couple of weeks ago.
I ordered the lamb and a friend went for the duck, both of which were just perfect. Our other dining companion chose the risotto, which was only ok, but then again ordering risotto is always is a bit risky... especially getting it right for an Italian.
The staff were very helpful and made sure we were well looked after, specially the Italian waiter Vito who entertained us with his sharp, dry humour.
I took my friend grocery window shopping to Whole Foods late on a Saturday afternoon.
We were impressed with the selection of hams, other dried meats and cheeses... and right at the end of the counter is a wine corner with a couple of tables... they have a good selection by the glass and you can order plates of salami, hams and cheeses... yummy, yummy indeed.
I've always only walked passed this popular coffee shop on Portobello road despite being told for many years that they are the best in Notting Hill.
One morning before work, my colleague took me to The Tea and Coffee Plant. The place was full - a long queue, nowhere to move or sit and the music was loud... but the coffee was good.
I have been back on a few occasions and enjoy it every time... the coffee, the atmosphere and the mix of people.

If you let me know I'll come by to,
A Happy New Year to you,
Mark.
My name's Mark and I'm helping Marios the new owner of Lebanon Express on Portobello Road.
Could you please help us know where we went wrong with the Kebab you bought on 14/11? Marios is very concerned that it was not good (at all) and would like to invite you to come back in and try another one as his guest. Perhaps you could make some suggestions.
If you do decide to do this, ask for Marios, but if he's not there say Mark has invited me in for a Kebab or whatever else you'd like to try. Marios has let the staff know this.
yours sincerely,
Mark Elston
