Fantastic cocktails in sumptuous surroundings. For me being taken here was a real treat. The bar and restaurant area are impressive in the least. Old world charm and glamour and 5 star treatment.
We stayed for two cocktails each, my Manhattan was iced perfectly and my Mojitio tasted spot on. If you want to impress a girl, this is place to take her.
An intimate basement bar found at 22 Great Marlborough Street, blink you might miss the sign for the subterranean bar.
Small with reds, browns and leather sofas the instant effect is warm, a little homely and comfortable. It has a small stage where comedians good and bad ply their trade on the weekly comedy nights for just £3.50. This was the reason we paid it a visit and though neither act we saw will win the Perrier award it made a change to see a live act or two mid week.
22 Below is small intimate place with pleasant staff and reasonably priced drinks.
I don’t know how in 4 years of living in Clapham I'd never paid Babel a visit until last night. A vibrant late night bar on my door step, well in Battersea! Open plan, with massive windows, wooden floors and full table service provided an excellent lounge evening for me and my four girls after a hard days shopping.
We stayed for 3 hours, enjoyed 2 sharing dishes and between us at least 16 cocktails, yes we were the worse for wear at home time but had a thoroughly amazing evening.
Friendly staff, great cocktails and rather good music.
A Clapham institution, Tsunami has white walls, dark woods, beautiful flowers and buzzing vibe that seems a million miles from dreary old Voltaire Road.
Yesterday I had the excellent kimchi lamb skewers and gyoza soup. My dinning partner had the chicken dumplings and rice. All the dishes were artfully presented and the staff nigh on perfect in helping us with our orders as normal. We passed on deserts to go out drinking elsewhere.
This was my fourth visit to Tsunami, it never disappoints.
A roaring fire, pleasant atmosphere and nice sofas, the Grove is a warm pub just down Oldridge Rd, off the High Road. Its a comfortable drinking establishment for locals not wanting the more trendy bars in the area. Ideal for a Sunday roast with the family
