Despite homeowners’ very real concerns about the current economic situation, 62% of those questioned still believed that their home was a very good investment and will continue to invest in their properties.
But the general mood of financial worry means that people are also tightening their belts across the board when it comes to household expenditure.
Nearly 60% also said they would be bargain-hunting, rather than just buying the first thing they see.
