Cold Mountain star Jude and 24-year-old Sienna split last year after the actor admitted having an affair.

He then publically apologised but the Layer Cake actress called off their eight-month engagement and dumped him.

The lovers were then reunited but have had an on/off romance since then.

Sienna Miller today vigorously denied reports that she made a scene after being asked for ID at a bar in Pittsburgh, the US city to which she has already apologised for making derogatory comments about it in an interview.

The owner of Folino’s Young’s Tavern claimed the actress threw a "temper tantrum" when she was asked to leave the watering hole because she could not prove her age.  But the actress - who enraged residents when she last week called the Pennsylvania location "Sh*tsburgh" in an interview with Rolling Stone - said she "wholeheartedly" refuted the allegations and had at least 10 witnesses who could back her up.

Her father Edwin Miller, who was with her, said the story was "total fabrication".

Tavern owner Penny Folino told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the 24-year-old had gone into the bar with Mr Miller and her stepmother just before midnight, eluding a bouncer who had refused to let her in because she had no ID.  When she was spotted inside having ordered a vodka tonic and escorted out she objected strenuously, Ms Folino claimed.

"Sienna ripped off her hat and said, ’I am Sienna Miller. I am a famous actress!’," she told the newspaper, "She was basically throwing a temper tantrum."

Sienna said in her statement: "I wholeheartedly refute the allegations that I in any way acted in an inappropriate manner when asked for identification at this bar.  Accompanied by my father and stepmother, I was asked to provide ID and since I didn’t have any with me I was told I couldn’t be served and asked to leave.  I had no problem with this and my family and I left calmly with out any further exchange of words."

It seems Sienna Miller is the actress everyone’s talking about as the Oscar race heats up.

The boho babe is apparently hotly tipped to walk away with a coveted gong for her performance in new movie Factory Girl.

According to The Sun, critics are raving about the pretty 24-year-old’s "amazing" portrayal of Edie Sedgwick, and are convinced she will be a winner at next year’s Academy Award ceremony.

Movie boss Harvey Weinstein is now thought to be campaigning to secure Sienna a nod come nomination time.

But even if the blonde - the on/off girlfriend of actor Jude Law - does get a nomination, winning on the night won’t be easy.

Huge talents such as Meryl Streep and Dame Helen Mirren look likely to be nominated, Meryl for The Devil Wears Prada and Helen for The Queen.
