Angelina Jolie came in second with similar salary demands, though the animated Beowulf earned the 32-year-old actress far less - just eight million dollars.

Cameron Diaz was third, with a 15 million dollar price tag per movie. Nicole Kidman dropped to fourth place, two spots lower than last year, with an asking price of 10 to 15 million dollars a film.

Renee Zellweger and Sandra Bullock also get 10 to 15 million dollar paycheques. So does Julia Roberts, who hasn’t appeared on the big screen since 2004.

Rounding out the top 10 are Drew Barrymore and Jodie Foster, who ask 10 to 12 million dollars per project, and Halle Berry, who gets 10 million dollars a picture.

Lovebirds Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have taken a romantic trip to the Napa Valley - California’s wine country, it has been reported.

People.com reports that the pair, who were spotted looking cosy together in Italy three weeks ago, checked into the Carneros Inn in the Napa Valley last Sunday, and went on to spend 24-hours together in one of the resort’s private homes.

"They were very affectionate with one another," an onlooker said. "They were cuddling, and he kept giving her little kisses."

Rumours first started that the Rendition co-stars were more than just friends when the pair were first spotted dining with two other couples in Los Angeles.

However, the pair didn’t have much screen time together on Rendition with Jake spending eight weeks filming in Morocco. But during a re-shoot in LA "Jake went and reintroduced himself to Reese," a source close to both actors told the website.

A friend of Reese’s adds: "Things slowly progressed, but it was never something she thought would happen from the start. She just kind of developed this little crush over time."

Last week Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon were spotted getting cosy in Rome, fuelling rumours that their on-off romance was firmly back on. And now the pair have apparently been spotted trick or treating in Los Angeles on Halloween night.

Us magazine reports that the Rendition co-stars took Reese’s children, Ava, eight, and Deacon, four, by ex-husband Ryan Philippe, trick or treating in LA’s Brentwood neighbourhood. Reese was dressed as a witch and Jake was an ape.

"They were holding hands and swinging them in the air as they walked around the neighbourhood," a witness told the magazine. "Reese was laughing at everything Jake was saying."

As Ava, dressed as a witch, and Deacon, decked out in superhero gear, ran up to houses, Reese and Jake flirted on the pavement.

"Jake tapped Reese on the butt and then she hit him back - they began running a circle hitting each other!" the witness adds. "Then Jake picked Reese up off her feet and she screamed."

After months of speculation and rumours of an on-off romance, Rendition co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon were reportedly seen holding hands as they strolled around Rome together.

Us Weekly magazine reports that the pair are in the Italian city to promote their movie and that they checked into separate 2,000 dollar-a-night suites at Rome’s Hotel De Russie.

The stars viewed tourist spots like the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum together and "they looked like a couple on holiday," according to a witness.

The report has fuelled rumours that the pair are dating, weeks after the speculation started.
