Jennifer Lopez has apparently been splashing out on her new twins.

The singer, who gave birth to Max and Emme, her babies with hubby Marc Anthony, last month, has reportedly employed a professional baby masseuse and a trained colour therapist to paint the nursery in "health enhancing" shades.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Jennifer has gone all-out to give the twins an amazing childhood.

"She had the nursery painted a beautiful aquamarine and light blue - colours which are supposed to have intelligence-boosting properties.

"She listened to classical music throughout her pregnancy and is now having music piped through to the nursery to help relax her youngsters."

As well as reportedly ordering 600-count Egyptian cotton linen, designer Babygros, diamond-engraved rattles and two Shetland ponies, it seems J-Lo is also keen to keep the twins' nursery hygienic.

"The twins' wing is totally sterile and all flowers and presents are stored in a separate room, so they don't contaminate the babies' area," the source added.

"It may sound excessive but she's only got her kids' best interests at heart and wants to give them a start in life she never had."

Days after giving birth to twins, Jennifer Lopez seems to be happy with her new brood.

At least, that’s according to her long-time friend Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, who produced Maid In Manhattan, which the actress-singer starred in.

"She sounds very peaceful and happy and blissful. She said, ’I can’t take my eyes off them’," Elaine told People.com

The 38-year-old and husband Marc Anthony welcomed their new additions - a girl, followed by a boy - shortly after midnight on Friday morning.

And Elaine revealed that parenthood is a dream come true for the couple, who have been married for more than three years.

"She and Marc are so ready for a family," she said.

"They love each other so much and built this beautiful life together. It feels like the only thing missing were these children, and now they have them. She really enjoyed her pregnancy."

The producer added: "She has been nesting. And she has been resting, which is different for her.

"She has really found a balance - before, it was a massive amount of work. Now she is so excited about these babies. Marc and Jennifer are twice blessed and they couldn’t be happier."

Jennifer Lopez has given birth to twins - a boy and a girl.

The babies were born at 12.45am local time (5.45am UK time) on Long Island, New York State.

J-Lo, 39, and husband Marc Anthony, 38, married in 2004. The twins are her first children, and his third and fourth.

Her publicist Simon Fields said: "Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon."

J-Lo confirmed her pregnancy at a Miami concert in November, ending months of speculation.

Her father, David Lopez, told a TV station earlier this month that she was expecting twins.

Media attention has focused on the personal life of the singer and actress for several years.

She has had high-profile relationships with Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Sean Combs and Ben Affleck.

Her most well-known films are Out Of Sight, Selena and Angel Eyes, though she enjoyed more success as a singer, releasing seven albums.
