"She’s really feisty and she fights for her man, I think we have that in common, I’d definitely haunt [my husband] Tony," said Eva, referring to her hubby, basketball player Tony Parker.

The film’s leading man Paul Rudd couldn’t make the special screening, but American Pie actor Jason Biggs, who also stars in the movie, was keen to express his admiration and affection for both Paul and Eva.

"They’re really funny, they’re really sweet, they’re both really handsome and easy to look at. I mean, she’s handsome, he’s pretty, it makes going to work that much more exciting you know?" he said.

Co-star Lindsay Sloane was also singing Eva’s praises, saying: "She worked her little butt off, and I mean little butt - her butt is so small!"

Eva Longoria has apparently denied rumours she is pregnant, insisting any extra weight she is carrying is due to eating more during the Hollywood writer’s strike.

"No pregnancy, not yet," the Desperate Housewives actress told People.com during an interview for her new film. "I’ve been cooking and eating, cooking and eating. I keep telling everyone that I’ve gained 10 pounds just being on strike."

The star, who was promoting her new movie Over Her Dead Body in Los Angeles, apparently said she and basketball star husband Tony Parker are in no rush to have a baby.

"I mean, we’re not really on a time clock, and going, ’Okay, this month, this day,’" she said. "We’re kind of just going, ’We’re so happy if we get pregnant, and if we don’t we’re okay.’ We’re just letting God decide it."

However, the star didn’t exactly help the rumour mill by reportedly arriving at the press launch wrapped in a pink baby blanket.

"I know - if this isn’t going to spawn pregnancy rumours, I don’t know..." she joked. "I was freezing, so I had to run down to the gift shop, and they didn’t have any wraps. I grabbed this and was like, ’It’s so soft, but why is it so small?!’ And they said, ’It’s for a baby.’"

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker showed solidarity on Friday in the wake of allegations that Tony had an affair with a French model.

People.com reports that the NBA star visited the Desperate Housewives actress on the set of a photo shoot where "they held hands and smiled," said one onlooker.

Both stars have vehemently denied all allegations of infidelity.

The couple were seen that evening at the Los Angeles Lakers game where injured Tony watched his San Antonio Spurs team from the sidelines, and Eva cheered them on from her seat behind the bench.

After his team’s loss, the couple headed out for a sushi dinner at Katsuya in Hollywood with a group of friends.

Although the 25-year-old basketball star was said to be noticeably subdued throughout the meal, he did lavish attention on his wife, slipping his arm around her shoulders and, at one point, leaning in to kiss her forehead.

A source close to the couple insists, "They are perfectly happy, despite everything that’s going on."
