Eva Longoria has confessed she loves to to indulge herself in life.

And the Desperate Housewives star will do her best to persuade the rest of the nation to indulge as well after signing up to be Magnum ice cream's official spokesperson for 2008.

Eva, 32, said: "Life is to be enjoyed and I believe that a little indulgence goes a long way.

"I'm happy to represent Magnum, as I believe in indulgence and sensuality, plus I have a huge passion for chocolate, so being part of this campaign is really fun for me."

And asked to reveal what her biggest indulgence was aside from chocolate ice cream, Eva confessed it was her husband, Tony Parker. The Texan beauty married the French basketball star in Paris last July.

The petite star will be fronting the launch campaign for two new varieties of the ice cream this year, Magnum Mini and Mayan Mystica.

Although she’s dismissed rumours she is pregnant, Eva Longoria has admitted she and husband Tony Parker "can’t wait" to have children.

"We both want children," the actress said on talk show Good Morning America. "And we both can’t wait and we practice a lot. But nothing yet. I’ll let you know."

And it seems the 32-year-old Desperate Housewives star, who plays Gabrielle on the hit US show, won’t be keeping it much of a secret when she’s expecting her first baby.

"Believe me, if I’m pregnant, I’ll be yelling it from the highest mountain I’ll be so happy," she said.

Eva was on the morning chat show to promote her new movie Over Her Dead Body, in which she plays a ghost who terrorises her former boyfriend’s new girlfriend.

"[The character] is very relatable," she said. "Because let’s face it, everyone’s been haunted by an ex."

She may be renowned as one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women, but Eva Longoria insists she doesn’t worry about her image.

The 32-year-old actress - who is next up in new film Over Her Dead Body - says her husband Tony Parker would love her sit back and put on the pounds.

"Tony would love it if I gained weight and stayed fat at home," she says.

It’s not about being a size zero, it’s about staying healthy, according to Eva.

"I work out three times a week with my trainer at my house, but I’m not obsessed," she explains. "I don’t do it because of expectations, I do it because I want to live a healthy lifestyle. My degree is in kinesiology, which is the study of the body and healthy living, so it’s natural for me to want to be in shape and eat right anyway. So no, I don’t do it because of other people’s expectations. It’s just for me."

Fans chanted Eva Longoria’s name as the Desperate Housewives star hit the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie Over Her Dead Body.

All eyes were on the actress at the packed premiere in Los Angeles, which was at times easier said than done, as the diminutive star became swamped by security, publicists, actor friends and well-wishers who wanted to stop and chat with her.

Looking stunning in a beautiful purple dress offset by some rather expensive looking diamond earrings, Eva stopped to talk about why she’d wanted to play Kate, a ghost who tries to sabotage her former boyfriend’s current relationship with a psychic.
