OK! magazine is appealing to the highest court in the land after three Court of Appeal judges ordered the magazine to pay back damages, costs and interest amounting to nearly £2 million to its rival, Hello!
The appeal judges had refused permission to take the case to the Law Lords but OK! and the Hollywood couple petitioned the House of Lords themselves and were successful.
OK! had a £1 million contract with the Douglases allowing the magazine’s exclusive coverage of their wedding in New York in November 2000.
Both OK! and the Hollywood couple took Hello! to court after it published the pictures it admitted were a "spoiler" aimed at limiting their rival’s exclusive coverage.
Zeta Jones told the 2003 High Court hearing she felt "devastated, shocked and appalled" when she realised unauthorised photographers had gatecrashed her high-security wedding at the Plaza Hotel.
The £14,600 damages awarded to Douglas and his wife after the High Court ruled Hello! had breached their rights of confidence were not challenged at the Court of Appeal.

He told the Night and Day magazine: "I think Catherine is resigned to that fact now. She’s gone back and forth on the subject, but when she gets back into work, I think she realises two’s enough and I say to her, ’Just think of your stepson as your third child.’"
Douglas, 61, has a 27-year-old son, Cameron, from his first marriage to Diandra Luker. Cameron is just nine years younger than Zeta-Jones, who is 36. The Oscar-winning actor also claims he has become a "Mr Mum" and is happy to stay at home and look after the children so his wife is able to go and make films.
Douglas is currently starring in ’You, Me and Dupree’ and ’The Sentinel’ which are both out this summer.

She went on to appear in numerous little noticed films and series’, including a made for TV film, Titanic, and comic book movie The Phantom, alongside Billy Zane. It was around this time that she was picked to star with Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro and Sean Connery in Entrapment. These films would make Catherine in to the Hollywood star we know today.
In 2000 she starred in Stephen Soderburgh’s Traffic with her future husband Michael Douglas. When they married later that year there was much critcism of the age difference (Douglas being 25 years her senior), however their marriage continues to go from strength to strength and they now have two children, Dylan (born in 2000) and Cerys (born in 2003).
Between babies and awards ceremonies CZJ has made a real name for herself as a leading lady in films such as The Terminal, Ocean’s Eleven and America’s Sweethearts. She has also won an Oscar for her all-singing, all-dancing part in musical Chicago whilst also working as spokeswoman for Elizabeth Arden.
