Billie's baby blitz - Mar 11 2008
Billie Piper is apparently on a health kick to help her have a baby with her new husband.

The Doctor Who star married actor Laurence Fox, 29, on New Year's Eve and the newly weds are already trying for a baby, according to The Daily Star.

A source told the newspaper: "They are eating well and looking after their bodies to give them the best chance of conceiving."

The 25-year-old actress and her husband are said to have quit alcohol and fast food in favour of an organic diet as part of their new healthy lifestyle.

It was previously claimed they were planning to adopt a child, but they are now reportedly keen to conceive a baby of their own.

Billie's agent Michael Foster was unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, Billie has apparently confessed she is nervous about returning as Doctor Who's assistant Rose Tyler in the new series.

She reportedly revealed: "I am worried about getting back into the groove. I tried playing Rose to myself in my bathroom an I couldn't do it."

Billie’s Mr and Mrs tattoo - Feb 22 2008

Billie Piper and her new husband Laurence Fox have had matching tattoos to commemorate their marriage.

The young couple - who were married on New Year’s Eve - branded their love for each other on their arms while they were honeymooning in Mexico, reports The Sun.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, Laurence, 29, showed off a tattoo which read: ’Mrs Fox 31.12.07’.

He explained: "She got Mr Fox. After a drunken lunch in Mexico on the honeymoon."

The actor also revealed how much he is enjoying married life with the 25-year-old pop star-turned-actress.

He said: I like it. I do feel different. It’s a bit more real, everything you do has consequences that having a girlfriend doesn’t. It’s great."

The couple were married at Easebourne, Sussex, and guests included Billie’s ex-husband Chris Evans, her Doctor Who co-star David Tennant and Laurence’s actress cousin Emilia Fox.

Billie embraced by Fox family - Jan 30 2008

Billie Piper has been welcomed into the theatrical family of her husband Laurence Fox, her new relative Emilia Fox has revealed.

Laurence’s cousin Emilia, 33, who starred in Silent Witness, gushed about Billie at a recent fashion party at London’s Harvey Nichols, reports the Daily Express.

She is quoted as saying: "It’s very lovely. We are all so thrilled to have her. We all love her and Laurence looks happier than I’ve ever, ever seen him before."

And Emilia said Billie should have no qualms about being a member of the distinguished family.

"She has no need to worry about joining the Fox family - we are an easygoing, fun family. We never compete with each other."

"It would be strange for any of us in the family to have rivalries between us. We are always thrilled for each other’s success," she added.

Billie and Laurence met as co-stars in the West End play Treats and married on New Year’s Eve.

Laurence’s dad is actor James Fox. His uncles are the actors Edward Fox (Emilia’s father) and Daniel Chatto and the producer Robert Fox.

Biography

Billie Piper was born September 22 1982 and propelled into stardom at the young age of 15.

Her fame began when she became the youngest female solo artist ever to debut at number one in the UK charts, with the feisty ’Because We Want To’ in the summer of 1998. Three months later she repeated the feat with the follow-up ’Girlfriend’, a slower R&B-tingle tune, which proved that this was one pop baby who could sing. In October 1998, the platinum-selling album ’Honey To The B’ took Billie’s career a step on and silenced the cynics who had said her success was sure to be short lived.

Throughout 1999 she took a step out of the limelight to work on her second album, whilst playing house with Five singer Ritchie Neville. Then in early 2000 Billie made her comeback with the single ’Day & Night’, an up-tempo song that hit the top of the charts.

Accompanying this comeback was a total image overhaul that offered up a far raunchy and overtly sexy individual. However, still in her late teens, the new image created quite a lot of press, and not all of it good, launching the debate as to whether it was suitable for young girls to copy her style.

Billie’s rock’n’roll lifestyle continued at great apace with a stalker, suspected drugs issues and her eventual marriage to, 16 years her senior, Chris Evans. The relationship that followed saw Billie’s demise from the public eye and the couple became more famous for their extreme partying, which as well as costing Chris his job at Virgin, also saw Billie flounder about with seemingly not much to do other than get drunk.

In 2003 she returned to her roots and polished her acting skills in the sunny climes of Los Angeles. On her return to the UK she quickly earned roles in television and film productions, her first being The Canterbury Tales that stunned viewers and changed their perception of her from a young pop princess to that of professional actress.

She later appeared in The Calcium Kid, Spirit Trap, Much Ado About Nothing, The Ruby in the Smoke and Mansfield Park, however it was her character Rose Tyler that awarded her the most acclaim.

In 2004 Billie signed to work on the new series of Doctor Who, as sidekick and companion of the good Doctor. She won Most Popular Actress category 2005 and 2006 for her work on the series, alongside Best Actress at the TV Quick and TV Choice Awards 2006 and Breakthrough Award at the Southbank Show Awards 2006, however on June 15, 2006, it was announced by the BBC that she was to depart in the final episode of the second series.

In October 2004 Billie and Chris began a trial separation that was to end in divorce, however the couple remain close friends, living just two houses away in the desirable Belsize Park area on London.
