She was earlier arrested "by appointment" in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice, police said.
A spokesman for Winehouse said: "She attended a police station voluntarily and at a pre-agreed time. She was arrested but that is common practice for someone being interviewed by police. There have been no charges and she has been released."
Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently remanded in custody on charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to an assault case.
Fielder-Civil, 25, and Michael Brown are accused of assaulting James King, the landlord of Macbeth’s public house in Hoxton, east London, on June 20 last year.
The pair and two other men have been remanded in custody until January 18 for a plea and directions hearing with a trial date pencilled in for June.
Fielder-Civil and Brown’s trial was adjourned after they were accused of the conspiracy charge.
Amy Winehouse arrested - Dec 19 2007
Singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at an east London police station. She is currently in custody.
"The arrest is in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice."
Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently remanded in custody on charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to an assault case.
Fielder-Civil, 25, and Michael Brown are accused of assaulting James King, the landlord of Macbeths public house in Hoxton, east London, on June 20 last year. It is alleged that they later conspired to pervert the course of justice by offering Mr King a significant amount of money to withdraw his allegation and leave the country.
Two other men also facing the same charge are Anthony Kelly, 25, from Chalk Farm, north west London, and James King, 36, from Risley, Derbyshire.
All four have been remanded in custody until January 18 for a plea and directions hearing with a trial date pencilled in for June.
Fielder-Civil and Brown’s trial was adjourned after they were accused of the conspiracy charge.
Winehouse cancelled her remaining UK tour dates following her husband’s arrest after giving several shambolic performances.
It was announced earlier this month that she had been nominated for six Grammy awards. The US awards recognise the cream of the music industry.
Amy’s dad fears Pete friendship - Dec 18 2007
Amy Winehouse’s dad has apparently told of his fears over her new friendship with "scumbag" Pete Doherty.
Cab driver Mitch Winehouse reportedly said he was "apoplectic" to see the drug-addled Babyshambles star out with his daughter.
"I do worry about people like Pete Doherty. He’s a scumbag," Mitch told Grazia magazine.
"I flipped when I saw him sitting with Amy backstage at her Brixton gig. That night I went crazy. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack, I was apoplectic."
Amy, 24, is battling her own drug addictions and is said to be close to breaking point over husband Blake Fielder-Civil’s incarceration.
He is currently remanded in custody on charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to an assault case.
The singer’s father told Grazia that painfully thin Amy suffers from "self-loathing".

Amy and her brother Alex were brought up by her mum and grandmother, and fondly remembers ’Growing up in East Finchley was cool.’ She started playing guitar at 12 and listening to jazz. Her acceptance into the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School seemed to spell big things for Amy, although she was expelled at 15, apparently for getting her nose pierced. She carried on her studies at an all girls school in Mill Hill, which she hated as there were no fella’s there.
Amy made appearances with the Youth Jazz Orchestra, produced a demo tape of jazz covers that was picked up by Universal/Island Records, and they signed her almost immediately. She released her album Frank in October 2003 and supported Jamie Callum on his national tour. Amy then went on to be nominated for two Brit Awards, British Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Artist. Not bad for a girl of 20!
