Amy to be Cavalli's clothes horse? - Mar 31 2008
Amy Winehouse has apparently been offered a lucrative deal to become Italian designer Roberto Cavalli's latest muse - and it seems she has Victoria Beckham to thank for it.

The former Spice Girl is thought to have raved about Amy's unique style to the Italian designer so much that he decided to offer the Rehab singer a tempting deal to get her into his clothes.

The singer is rumoured to have been offered a lifetime's supply of tailored designs in return for wearing Cavalli's designs at public functions and gigs.

A Cavalli insider allegedly told the Daily Mirror: "Cavalli was suitably taken in by what Victoria had to say that he's now determined to get Amy on board."

Amy, 24, who has been rumoured to be planning her own fashion line, has been invited to stay at the fashion guru's Tuscan castle to thrash out a deal, the newspaper reports.

Recently Victoria gushed about the way the soul singer dresses.

"She has a real sense of style that I love," she is reported to have said. "She is a fashion icon because she is unique."

A spokesman for Amy told the newspaper that the singer is "considering many offers at the moment".

Amy’s baby break? - Mar 18 2008
Amy Winehouse has reportedly told her record bosses she is taking a break to start a family.

The Back To Black singer - who is supposed to be working on her third album - has apparently told bosses at Universal her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is her number one priority.

According to New! magazine, Amy told the record label: "I want to keep my diary clear so that when Blake gets released I can spend at least six months with him.

"I don’t want to do long tours - I need to be a proper wife to my husband, and can’t wait to be a mum."

Blake, 25, is in London’s Pentonville Prison awaiting trial on allegations of assault and perverting the course of justice.

Amy, 24, entered rehab earlier this year after a video emerged of her allegedly smoking crack cocaine. She is reportedly now on the road to recovery.

Amy stubs out cigarette on cheek? - Mar 6 2008
Amy Winehouse’s swollen face was apparently caused when she stubbed a cigarette out on her cheek.

The Rehab singer was dining with friends in a London restaurant and was reportedly asked three times by staff to put out her Marlboro Light as she was breaking the smoking ban, according to The Sun.

After receiving her final warning Amy, 24, stared at the waitress as she allegedly pushed the burning tip of her cigarette into her own left cheek.

A fellow diner said: "She hardly flinched.

"The whole place was open-mouthed in horror.

"She was so out of it that she didn’t feel the pain - everyone else looked completely stunned.

"The waitress covered her mouth in shock and just walked off to tell the manager. It was a horrible sight."

The singer has since tried to conceal the wound with foundation but it has become infected and swollen. She reportedly joked to fellow guests at the Paris Fendi fashion show on Friday she had the mumps.

Her spokesman said she had a skin complaint which had caused a rash.

Biography

Amy Winehouse hails from Osidge Lane, Southgate, although she currently lives in Camden. She is being feted as the new big thing with a voice likened to soul artists of the caliber of American soul queen Erykah Badu.

Amy and her brother Alex were brought up by her mum and grandmother, and fondly remembers ’Growing up in East Finchley was cool.’ She started playing guitar at 12 and listening to jazz. Her acceptance into the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School seemed to spell big things for Amy, although she was expelled at 15, apparently for getting her nose pierced. She carried on her studies at an all girls school in Mill Hill, which she hated as there were no fella’s there.

Amy made appearances with the Youth Jazz Orchestra, produced a demo tape of jazz covers that was picked up by Universal/Island Records, and they signed her almost immediately. She released her album Frank in October 2003 and supported Jamie Callum on his national tour. Amy then went on to be nominated for two Brit Awards, British Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Artist. Not bad for a girl of 20!
