Alesha was speaking at the Perfume Shop Celebrity Nose Of The Year Awards in London, where she delighted the audience with some MC-ing and funky moves - including an apt nose wiggle.

And she told how being tall made some dance routines a challenge, but confessed she was glad of her height.

"They used to say it was difficult for the tall girls to do certain Latin dances but there’s advantages to being tall. I love being tall - you can see over people in the cinema. My mum’s only tiny - she’s only five foot so we look really interesting together!"

Alesha Dixon is to host her own TV show.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner will present Leave My Bits Alone on BBC Three, a one off show about the pressure on women to have perfect bodies.

The programme will also see Alesha catch-up with celebrity friends who have been on the receiving end of digital surgery.

Alesha said: "Magazines shouldn’t use digitally altered pictures of women.

"The female form is becoming increasingly divorced from reality."

The 29-year-old former Misteeq singer is proud of her curves and longs for a bigger bottom.

She said: "I burn off lots of energy. But my body may change as I get older.

"My Jamaican nan has massive gazungas that sit on her belt! She’s a proper West Indian woman. I hope I get her boobs. And a nice bottom that sticks out and isn’t just a flat extension of my back."

Danny Cohen, controller of BBC Three, said: "It’s great to have Alesha on BBC Three. This is a subject she feels strongly about and I’m sure she will make a passionate and thought-provoking documentary."

Alesha Dixon has apparently quashed rumours that she is dating EastEnders’ actor Rob Kazinsky (aka Sean Slater).

The Strictly Come Dancing starlet has been enjoying her new-found fame after winning the BBC One ballroom show, but she said romance was not on the cards, reports the Daily Mirror.

Speaking to Choice FM, she joked about how the rumour had started, saying: "I said hello to him and now I’m supposed to be smitten with him."

The 29-year-old former Mis-Teeq singer added: "There’s no man and there’s no plans for a man. If I met someone I’d be open to it but I’m not looking for it."

Alesha has already started cashing in the popularity she won on the show, with reports that BBC bosses want to make her the star of a new Saturday TV show.

And she’s also using her fame to virtuous ends, after she launched a 10k run in aid of Help A London Child.

BBC bosses are apparently planning to make Alesha Dixon a new face of Saturday night TV.

According to the Daily Star, they want the Strictly Come Dancing champ, 29, to front her own show.

A source apparently said: "Alesha has real star quality and just needs the right show to showcase her talents.

"Viewers - and the camera - loved her. She proved a hit on our biggest show and we’d be mad to let her go to a rival.

"Alesha has the potential to prove a real Saturday night ratings queen - she just needs the right show. There’s no rush, she’s got her hands full for the next few months and we need to get the right format.

"However, there’s little doubt she will be getting an offer she cannot refuse."

The show may have to wait until 2009 - as Alesha is so busy.
