Take That back for more - Feb 26 2008
There's good news for Take That fans - the fab four have apparently already got plans for a follow-up to their 2006 comeback album Beautiful World.
And the boys, who scooped gongs for British Single and British Live Act at the Brits last week, think their best work may be still to come, reports the Daily Star.
Frontman Gary Barlow, 37, was quoted as saying: "We're starting to talk about another album. We'll take a little break first, then probably take another break and then see where we go from there. But we think we can get even better."
The group, whose recent hits include Shine and Rule The World, were ecstatic about their live act award - even though they apparently admitted that their recent tour had taken it out of them.
Mark Owen, 36, reportedly said: "The older we get the more painful it is to perform."
Take That favourites with the bookies - Jan 16 2008
Take That are fast becoming the best backed band in Brits betting history, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies chalked the boy band up as a 5/4 chance to take the Best British Group Award at the February 20 ceremony - but have been under siege ever since from Take That fans.
The Manchester group are now already odds-on at just 1/2 to take the award - and the bookies are reeling from a massive gamble on the boys.
David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "We’ve never known anything like it. Punters have already gone berserk for the boys.
"The gamble shows no signs of slowing. Take That are fast becoming a nightmare for bookies and look likely to head to Earl’s Court next month as the most popular band in betting history."
Take That are also the new 5/4 favourites with Ladbrokes to land the Best British Album category with Beautiful World, having been far more popular than early favourite Mika who is now out to 8/1.
"We thought it might be closer between Take That, Leona Lewis, and Mika, but it’s the resurgent boy band whom the punters want. Nobody else matters," he added.
Take That rule out Robbie reunion - Dec 17 2007
Take That have snubbed Robbie Williams - saying they have shut the door on any possible return for him in the band.
Gary Barlow, 36, said there was "no place" for the Angels star anymore.
Just weeks ago, Take That insisted that the door was "always open".
Gary told The Big Issue magazine: "I think, when it comes down to it, he’s just not going to be in the band again. I just don’t think there’s a place for him now here."
He dealt a further blow to Robbie, 33, by saying the rest of the band shared an amazing bond.
Mark Owen, 35, told the magazine that when the group re-formed "we asked him, but he had other commitments - he had to walk his dog that day".
Take That have enjoyed rave reviews for their sell-out tour but Rudebox, the last album from Robbie, failed to match the success of previous offerings.
Robbie left the boy band in 1995 and immediately blamed his departure on his frayed relationship with Gary.
The group re-formed after a 10-year split, but Robbie shunned the reunion tour and subsequent new album.
The Take That interview appears in Monday’s edition of the magazine, sold by the homeless.
Take That relight their fire in UK - Nov 16 2007
Thousands of Take That fans screamed with joy as the re-formed boy band kicked off the British leg of their hit tour.
Having spent the last few weeks wowing fans in Europe, the four boys got the chance to delight the eager crowds in Birmingham.

Keeping up with the WAGs...

Take That was formed in 1990 as Britain’s answer to the American boy band ’New Kids on the Block’. The band members were Gary Barlow (lead vocalist and song-writer), Robbie Williams (second lead and cheeky chappie), Jason Orange (choreographer and dancer), Marc Owen (the ’cute’ one)and Howard Donald (dancer).
Although they had a somewhat shaky start, and were close to being dropped from their record label - they then released ’It Only Takes a Minute’ which went to the number one chart spot. Teenage girls loved them everywhere, and they had eight number one hits altogether - including ’Relight My Fire’ with Lulu (also reinvigorating Lulu’s career as well!)
News that Robbie was leaving the band was taken badly by the fans, and although the four that were left did carry on (and have two more hit records) they finally announced it was all over in 1996. Teenage girls worldwide needed counselling... Until the next boy band of course.
Post Take That, youngest band member Robbie Williams has gone on to acheive the dizzying heights of A List stardom, while Gary (the one who was expected to shine) has not been heard of so much, although he did have two number one singles. Marc Owen also had a stab at solo pop stardom but was not so well recieved (although apparently it’s gone down vey well in Spain...). Jason Orange has been pursuing an acting career and treading the boards, while Howard - what is Howard doing? Answers on a very small postcard please!
