Beyonce gets Obsessed? - Mar 6 2008
Beyonce Knowles is apparently heading back onto the silver screen in upcoming thriller Obsessed.
The former Destiny's Child singer will join American Gangster's Idris Elba and Heroes beauty Ali Larter in the flick, reports Variety.
Beyonce, 26, will apparently play the wife of a man who is targeted by a female stalker.
The trade mag says the star will also be one of the executive producers on the movie, which is being directed by Steve Shill.
It wouldn't be Beyonce's first big screen outing - the singer has had showy roles in films like Austin Powers In Goldmember, The Pink Panther and The Fighting Temptations, and won critical acclaim for her performance in 2006 movie Dreamgirls.
Beyonce is also thought to have signed up to play Etta James in the film Cadillac Records. Also starring Adrien Brody, Mos Def and Emmanuelle Chriqui, the movie is due to open later this year.
Tina has better legs, says Beyonce - Feb 16 2008
Beyonce is still talking about her memorable performance with Tina Turner at last weekend’s Grammy Awards ceremony.
And that includes the 68-year-old legend’s sleek set of pins!
"You can’t compare my legs to Tina’s - no!" Beyonce told Extra. "Tina’s legs at 68 look better than mine at 26."
"I was beyond nervous. I was so nervous I couldn’t even hide it," she added about her performance. "So I just had to scream and jump up and down."
And despite the fact that Beyonce has sold millions of records and won a multitude of awards, her mum Tina Knowles has her own advice for what keeps her daughter grounded.
"Smack ’em around every once in a while," she joked. "No, not really. I’m not an expert on it - I just did a lot of praying."
Extra spoke to Tina and Beyonce as they prepared to unveil their new autumn line from their House of Dereon fashion label.
"We have hosiery, we have lingerie, our bags are sick and our shoes are crazy," smiled Beyonce.

Beyonce’s solo album Dangerously in Love and debut single Crazy in Love shot her to solo stardom and made her one of the most recognised divas in pop. The album won her a record-breaking five Grammy Awards and her single and album also topped the UK and US charts simultaneously.
With a handful of forays on to the big screen Beyonce can also lay claim to the title of Actress. But while Austin Powers in Goldmember might have been a success her follow ups, The Fighting Temptations and The Pink Panther have not had the Oscars beckoning. Whether her part in anticipated music flick Dreamgirls will see a change in opinion remains to be seen.
Rapper Jay-Z has been Beyonce’s long term squeeze since they worked together on his hit single 03 Bonnie & Clyde and are reported to be heading up the aisle soon after the release of her next album B-Day.
