Liam said on 25th July ... "This is the fifth festival I've been to this year and is one of the better ones I've been too (when I eventually got let in!). The mix of music was spot on, truly something for everyone. If you wanted it mad it was there, if you wanted retro it was there.
The food choice was better than most, the bars were just the usual beer, beer and beer. No real complaints on this one except the long delays in opening the site which was some 3 hours later than published. As for the acts..stunning performance from Groove Armada and an absolute joy to see Blondie. Also highly rated The Rapture and Scratch Perverts.
My abiding memory though? Watching the boys from Last Man Standing playing Beach Volleyball against the Juice Republic Girls. This was Victoria Park in Hackney but for a brief moment looked like the Carribean in glorious sunshine, as for the result?
I Think LMS should stick to music and leave the volleyball well alone..."
