What's it all about?
With the onslaught of festivals kicking off this summer a weekend just isn’t enough to get down and jiggy! Let’s face it, before you’ve even pitched up your tent you’re already packed and home with a thumping hangover. However, here’s a festival that seem to have perfected formula...
Not suffice with a weekender, Bass Festival has extended their stay for a month (er, no I didn’t stutter) a month! A month dedicated to the arts and music in the midlands. Championing Black music and art, Bass Music Festival annouces it's bill with an array of swashbuckling events and activities. Comprising of photography exhibitions, seminars, workshops as well as incorporating a diverse range of musical genres-gospel, grime, hip hop and disco, Bass will certainly hit a high note with the crowd.
Taking the stage will be Ursula Rucker, Black Thought, Lord Finese, Ty, NO Lay, Faith 47,
Rich Medina, Omekongo, Napo, Tumi, Charlie Dark and many, many more. With around 50 events spreading across the whole of June, you’ve BASSically got no excuse not to attend.
