The very final addition to the Hop Farm line up has been made - please welcome Carbon/Silicon, Mick Jones - ex of The Clash - latest project. Punk rock in spirit, Carbon/Silicon cross heavy beats with garage rock. So we’re told.
What’s It About? If you love a festival atmosphere but the thought of too much country air and canvas is too much for you here’s your must-see summer event.
It’s got the thousands-of-people-in-a-field vibe, in the obligitary rustic setting of Tonbridge, Kent yet it’s just 45 minutes from the big smoke. It’s got the raft of fab headline acts but with only one day it’s all thriller no filler - and no tents required - including sets from the legend that is Neil Young, the sublime Primal Scream and the sideburned cool of Supergrass. Not enough? How about Rufus Wainwright and Laura Marling to lull you in to a sunshine drenched state of bliss? Add in My Morning Jacket, Guillemots and Everest and you’ll be saying ’Glastonbury who?’
Book Now if You Love: Music. Just music. Vince Power’s the man behind the plan so expect nothing but the best, no branding from the bigwigs, no pre-registration and no VIP area (ok, we’re press so we ain’t so pleased about that).
Don’t Miss: The chilled out vibe of Rufus - soon to be legend or the pure slice of summer that is the ’Grass.
