What is it?
The Lewes Folk Rock festival is, fittingly, a weekend of folk rock in Lewes, the historic county town of East Sussex. But don’t let the label “folk rock” fool you, modern folk rock is much more than Dylan and the Byrds. This year’s lineup includes diverse acts like Zydecomotion and their dance beats inspired from traditional Louisiana music, Kangaroo Moon and their psychedelic and trance-influenced take on the didgeridoo, and Salter Cane with their unique form of alt country.
The Lewes Folk Rock festival is sponsored by Dark Star Brewing Company and Chaula, which means quality ales and fresh homemade Indian food will be available.
