What’s it about? Need to reconnect with time and place? Get back in touch with the Celtic soil of the land? Well Shamania think you can do just that by bouncing around a field in Lancashire while a host of psy-trance DJs infect your head with hard new house and psychedelic beats
Yes, there’s some strange belief that psy-trance packaged with a whole host of far-flung spiritualisms can somehow put you back in touch with the cosmos and – frankly – who are we to disagree? Cosmosis, Eat-Static and Safi Connection, Hydraglyph, Dickster, and Jon Phantasm are on the bill along with DJs from all the major Northern Psy-Trance clubs. Complementing this will be a second stage, hosted by Riff Raff from Leeds on the Friday and Saturday nights showcasing the finest Techno DJs; including Dave the Drummer, Chris Liberator and Adam from Lab4
Whether or not you dig Shamania’s idea that you’ll be making a “positive contibution to the evolution of our species’ collective consciousness” by attending this festival, this is the perfect chance to get into a field and enjoy yourself in the wilds of Northern England. A four-day continuous music event sited near Pendle Hill, on the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire, the witch-pagan past of the area contributes something else to this very unique festival
Probably one of the few (fairly) family-friendly dance festivals, there are also therapy areas (massage and beyond) and workshops on offer
If you’re into psy-trance, then chances are you’ve already got a ticket. If you’re new to the game, well this might be the biggest satori baptism by fire you can get…
Book now if you love: exploring the “the fantastic capabilities of our minds”. Quite…
Don’t miss: Sunrise & Kulu’s Psy-Trance Arena
