What’s it about?
Holmfirth Festival, now in its third year, is a self-described “celebration of folk music, beer, dancing and general enjoyment.” Sounds good to us. Expect concerts, jam sessions, sing-alongs, as well as workshops and events planned by local folk clubs. Also included will be art showings and, new this year, poetry readings. The main concerts, including acts such as Stanley Accrington, Sara Grey, and Soundsphere have a modest $5 cover, wile most other events are free. Many local schools are also involved in this (mostly) family-friendly event.
