Canal Cafe Theatre
The Canal Cafe Theatre is a 60-seater fringe theatre venue in Little Venice, London, located above the Bridge House pub. It was opened in 1984 as the the resident venue for NewsRevue, the Guinness World Record Holder for the longest running live comedy show.
The Theatre is primarily renowned for comedy (stand-up, sketch shows, comic plays/musicals), but is increasingly developing a reputation for new writing.

Secret Gardeners -Dec 06We went to see the Secret Gardeners a couple of weeks ago , it was my first visit to the canal Cafe Theatre. The scetches were fast and a vast improvement on anything you would see on television on a Saturday. That's a backhanded compliment, but I would certainly see them again. The script was orginal and certainly held the audience, this was helped by the trio appearing to enjoy every moment in what can only be described as a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

GREAT BAR [drinks a little over priced] and the aussie behind the bar had a bit of attitude, apart from that a lovely atmosphere, with great comedy upstairs. We saw 'get your skits out' by mistake but it was hilarious. Check out the perverted obi wan and his drugged up pupil Luke sketch.
The most coveted of the restaurant awards are announced every New Year in the deepest, darkest depths of January....
