I Dream - Dreaming feat Frankie and Calvin
Single out 15th November 2004
Genre: pop
Reviews:
Upbeat pop. Frankie has a sweet, if not a strong voice and can harmonise cheerfully with Calvin's deeper hardly audible undertones. The song is saved by a catchy middle, and will linger long in your head if you let it. A kid-u-like. Mandy Carter
Soulless pop drivel. The worst thing is that its catchy, and it'll have you singing the chorus even though you really know that you shouldn't be singing it. Tessa Batacharia

'"Welcome to Avalon Heights" I DREAM'S debut album release November 29th 2004
Following on from the phenomenal success of their hit CBBC show, the I DREAM cast are set to release their debut album, with 14 fantastic tracks from the superb magical, musical TV drama. "Welcome to Avalon Heights" features all members of the cast performing together, collaborating on duets and going it alone for solo tracks resulting in an uber-fresh and irresistible collection of confident, classic pop songs.
The I DREAM team prepare to get you moving with this unforgettable soundtrack album - it's a captivating, combination of infectious, well-crafted tracks that embraces pop, indie, and soul styles - something for everyone. Calvin, Jay, Aaron, Matt, Ollie, Frankie, Daisy, Rochelle, Hannah, Stacey, Lorna, Helen and Rachel come together to deliver an album filled with enthusiasm and fun that'll have everyone singing and dancing along.
The opening track lays the foundations for the rest of the magical soundtrack which features the first single and theme tune to the show, "Dreaming" a lively and pulsating duet performed by heartthrobs Calvin and Frankie. This is followed by the smooth, silky and melodic "Beautiful Thing", a song taken from episode two where Jay and Calvin drift off into their own dreams, longing for high-maintenance chick Natalie (AKA Lorna) to notice them. Meanwhile, she performs the superb latin-flavoured, castanet-clicking "Waste Your Time on Me" and is joined by Rachel and Stacey on the electro-funk inspired "Our Life". Matt, who's got his eye on Amy (AKA Rachel) sings over gentle guitars on "Goodbye Radio", and he hopes to make an impression on her by helping her out on "Can I Trust You", the song which Amy composes for her Avalon Heights assignment - but she needs Matt's help to bring it to life - but can she trust him?
I DREAM has been setting CBBC alight since the first episode premiered on September 22nd. Clear blue skies and beaming sunshine provide an idyllic, magical backdrop for the hottest TV series this autumn. Avalon Heights, a special training academy of the performing arts, brings the I DREAM-ers together in an ensemble of unstoppable fun, music, enchantment and adventure in an extraordinary place where all dreams really can come true.
Commenting on the album Daisy tells us, "We had so much fun filming the TV show that to release an album with all our favourite songs from the show is really exciting." Lorna adds, "It has all happened so fast I am on a pure adrenaline rush all the time, its great!" Matt agrees adding, "We have all gelled together like we have been working as a team for ages - that's what's made this album so awesome to produce."
