NOISY, I live local and I am sick of the noise from these premises that goes on into the early hours of the morning, the proprietors seems to have zero thought for local residents, the pub should be closed down

If a pub does good chips then I’m sold (At University, I was once referred to as the “Mental Chip Lover” – well they did ask “Sophie, what do you like best…”) and The Horse Chestnut doesn’t disappoint!

The pub is warm and cosy with a kooky little library room to the left of the entrance, which you can snuggle up in with a glass of red.

Although some of the dishes are slightly greasy (the lasagne in particular) the reasonable prices along with the good drinks section (when I see cocktails I will call it excellent…) cheers you up!

What I would class as a traditional English pub, it will put a smile on your face any rainy day of the week.

the horse chestnut is great. i live near to it. the staff are welcoming and pleasant . the price is fair and the food is lovely and is quick

I have just re visited The Horse Chestnut for the first time in a year, WOW what a difference, the place has atmosphere, the beer is great, food is good (and quick) and finally Radcliffe has a pub worth going to! Harvest Pale on permanent tap is like a dream! Well done to the new manager Dean for turning this place back around ably assisted by Kalum who now has someone who shares his enthusiasm! GREAT STUFF WELL DONE LADS!!!
