The brainchild of Tim Bacon, an actor who at the time was 'resting' between work, The Living Room is a chain of modern bars with live music that are staffed by 'resting' actors. Serving a variety of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails as well as a variety of dishes (complete with kids menu), this chain proves popular with all who frequent it.

Another gem in the Living Room chain – the Nottingham branch doesn’t disappoint!

With a classy interior, and friendly and attentive staff, you will never be left with a hideous wait for your cocktail (no matter how busy the bar). However, this is just as well with the amount they charge for the drinks (almost £7 for their French Martini! A few rounds here totals up to the price of a skirt in Topshop!) Although after the first sip of their blackberry flavoured French Martini I was converted (although Dogma’s version is slightly nicer and cheaper!)

Like with most bars in the Lace Market, punters tend to be flash with their cash and of the type that wouldn’t dream of purchasing anything from High Street. However, if you want a quiet drink away from Chavs and of lads that try to grab your attention by spilling a drink down you (please boys, can you think of a girl’s dry cleaning bill first?) in a buzzing environment then the Living Room is a hot stop to hit on your weekend.
