What a turnaround! it looks like a lot of had work has been going on here. Good beer, good food and great atmosphere.Nice staff. Best pub in the village now by far.

i do rarely visit the black lion and it used to be a dump ready for some one to come along and transform it and its great now its clean the staff are friendly and the food is great ( it was ok before too) and the outside area is brillant

The new management in this establishment have really turned this business around. The staff and surroundings are spotless and very clean. The management team are making a relentless effort to drive the yob culture out of this pub (as you would normally expect in all pubs today). They have a strict regime of keeping this pub for the local people. It's a nice place, good beer and sensible prices....
