Personally I feel that the review written by Portlan Seaview was bang out of order - I used to buy my sandwiches from Maria and Carlos and they were never rude or stroppy, actually they provided exceptional customer service and alot of my friends also would travel from NW.London just to get sandwiches and also if they needed catering for any events they had.

So Portland Seaview you must of really of done something to get on her tits!!!!

went there for lunch today - let me ask you this: two sausages and a portion of roasted carrots and sweet potatoes served on a teaplate came to £7.90 - is this good value? I don't think I'll be returning.

So glad those awful brother and sister duo at Las Palmaras have left and we have a genuine local cafe now. I have lived in the area for 30 years and did not go to Las Palmeras as the sister in particular was a stroppy and rude person who very few people liked. So if she reads this, I hope she has taken some lessons in manners. The Foodstore has lovely coffee and have you tried the raspberry porridge? It is out of this world...

Out of idle curiousity, I googled Las Palmeras just to see if there was anything on there. I am so pleased to see the St Helens Food Stores marked up on the Notting Hill Directory, they are providing the community there with a great selection of foods, and service. The displays are beautiful and all can see how fresh and well created the dishes are. I just wanted to say that I was there for 17 years and have extremely fond memories of all the work that myself and my brother put into Las Palmeras, and good to see that we are still remembered after all this time. Time for all the LP followers to pay St Helens Food store a visit, its fabulous!
