They pack the tables into this place and they can and should because it's always so popular. Good food, charming decor and always a pleasant experience.
Osteria is located in the heart of Notting Hill, just off Portobello Road and has been around forever . A classic Italian restaurant with a classic menu. For me it beats Luna Rossa across the street by a long mark. It’s perfect for a romantic together.
When the sun shines, and I can bag a table outside, its heaven.
mmmh... fettuccine with veal ragu... magnifique

great food let down by appallingly bad service. won't eat here or their other restaurants agin.
Oh Osteria - What have you done? You used to be my favorite Italian - we grew up as neighbors together for 12 years- I shared both happy and sad times with you. Then I go away for a year and come back to find you so changed, did living on Ken Park Rd finally affect you so much - did you fall into the trap of believing the hype - when did you become more Notting Hill than Portobello? And most importantly how did you become such a BAD experience. The manager has already lost you ten good customers - suggest you put her on a relations course - because she has no idea of how to treat people let alone customers. Memo to readers - This little strip of restaurants was great for years but now just cater to tourists in search of the famous blue door - so if you want something cool head over to All Saints Road and if you want good italian then head to Chelsea!
