This is the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten in! The food is spectacular, the choice amazing and the service is second to none. You fell like a friend as soon as you walk through the door. We are currently trying to work our way through the menu! I recommend the Soft Shell Crab in Curry sauce. The coconut rice is divine. The Gaeng Garee Kai. Honestly. I have tried about 20 different dishes so far and have not been dissapointed. Take friends and share dishes!! I'm looking forward to going this coming week!

Very good indeed.
I work in the area and when I want something for lunch or dinner I always go here for an awesome Phad Thai or Chicken cashew nut.
Love the authentic style menus and interior, no poncy/try hard/decored out restaurant. Just a great honest Thai restaurant that I will go time and time again. Also like the new lick of paint!

Although Khao San is my neighborhood Thai restaurant, I would travel across London to enjoy their great and varied menu. My first visit I ordered a green curry and enjoyed it so much I ordered it the next several visits. I finally broke the habit and have tried something different each time. I have never been disappointed. Tonight I tried the Pu Nim Tod Hau Rapa Krob - Soft Shelled Crab with crunchy sweet basil leaves. I love soft shell crab and this crab was very fresh and meaty. The menu is extensive and are in the "home cooked" style. Most of the dishes use the owners' family recipes. The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent.

I have been eating Thai food and travelling around Thailand for 25 years now. I can honestly say that the food in Khao San is the most authentic and delicious outside Thailand. Also, service is very nice. Paula

Excellent menu and freshly prepared food of excellent quality. I took a small group of people for Sunday Lunch and all of us were thrilled with the food and attentive staff. Would recommend to anyone seeking authentic cuisine at an affordable cast.

Khao San Thai is one of my favourite places to eat. The food is always really tasty and the service is efficient and very friendly. We eat there and get take out on regular basis and have never had an experience or dish that wasn’t great. If you haven’t been you’ve been missing out!

What a great find!!! We just went for our first meal at Khao San. So many new and unusual choices on the menu not your standard Thai. The owner was completely charming and recommended her favourite dishes. I had a pink bean curd soup. It was delicious! A fresh and subtle flavour with Thai fish cake, vegetables and herbs. My boyfriend tried the pork ribs noodle soup and fresh papaya salad both of which where very tasty.

Without a doubt the best Thai restaurant in London:
*Very fresh, light and tasty food,
*Excellent fish, vegetarian and meat dishes
*Very friendly service
*Great wine
*Calm ambience with soft music, a sociable and romantic setting
*Spacious seating
I always go here at least twice a week because it is simply the best!
Try it and enjoy the experience.
