I stayed at the the railway and its the best East End pub and hotel around
My wife and I stayed at The Railway Tavern Hotel recently, what a nice surprise. Its an old pub with lots of character including the sloping floor (not too bad though). The rooms have ample space, they were very clean as was the toilet/shower, without that awful musty smell you can get in some places. Our room had a flat screen TV on the wall with the obligatory freeview channels. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We started our day with a nice breakfast in the conservatory. The staff (Tom and Jan) were friendly and helpful. To top it off we were able to park our car in a secure car-park and walk to the nearby Stratford Station to get into London. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
Congratulations to Ton and Jam on their excellent hotel. The stay was most enjoyable-all the facilities and friendliness first rate. Great rooms and food.
We held my brothers 40th birthday party here and it was the perfect venue. It's spacious, modern and very clean. Some of us stayed at the hotel as we don't all live in London and I was really surprised by the rooms. They are modern and spotless with wall mounted flat screen TVs. There is also a carpark which is locked at night. Would definitely recommend this place.
I live abroad for most of the year returning to East London about every 3 months. The Railway Tavern is definitely the place to stay. Clean, comfortable, great value, food and atmosphere. The ownersTam and Jan have got it spot on.I shall definitely return.
