This bar is totally up it's own *ss! The bouncers only let in who they want and even suggested to me and a group of friends it was a members bar only even though I have been drinking there for years (I suspect it was because our group had some people over 30 in it).

If you don't look like you're part of the 'in crowd', i.e. fashion students or hairdressers, then you probably won't get in and to be honsest it's not worth the effort.

hey chris i know what u mean bout the door staff they are so rough and im a girl lol just horrile by the way they act you would think the bar was some top class VIP bar instead of some small dark scruffy bar that smells like and old sponge lol

I love North Bar! Its the perfect location right next to central station. very chilled but super cool, good atmosphere, a little bit underground, not for everyone, very cool crowd think kings of leon to katie perry. i always find myself stealing styles of every1 in there!
friendly staff good drinks, provides an all round slice of funky one of my saturday night favourites but a perfect threw the week date place.

I went to North Bar last night as it was the only place still open and I was waiting for a taxi. I had been to Subway, so was carrying one of those long bags containing a sandwich which I intended to eat once I got home. I was told to leave the bar because I had food. I informed the door staff that the sandwich was wrapped up inside the bag, and I had no intention of eating it inside the bar. This was not satisfactory so I reluctantly left after exchanging words of utter bafflement and irritation. One of my arguments was the fact that it was after 1am and the bar weren't even serving food!

I left the bar, placed the sandwich bag somewhere hidden so I could retrieve it afterwards, and then went back to the bar to get a drink and conclude my night out. Just as I was about to order, I was grabbed from behind and carried out of the bar by one of the door staff. I then had a long argument with him and another of the door staff, and then a discussion with someone who represented himself as the manager of the bar. The conversation with the manager was quite civilised, but when it seemed I was making progress, the door man who I was criticising then assaulted me again, picking me up and carrying me down the stairs.


Don't ever go to this bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really arrogant security staff was told could not be allowed entry because i had to much to drink then i saw a group of women going in with one of them practically being carried quite comical really will never recommend it or go back their
