Whats this?! A brand spanking new bar in the heart of the city's burgeoning Northern Quarter that doesn't seem like its trying to be pretentious? Good lord, surely not?! The difference between this particular spanky new bar and the myriad of others is that this place is *genuinely* cool. Externally an incredibly spartan, non descript affair replete with shutters a la Ancoats chic [sic]. The inside has an air of minimalist class with good, solid furniture which gives the bar a strong framework for its main attraction, that of the many amazing illustrations from various pop cultural phenomenons. This fantastic idea includes amazing work by top doodler, Jon Burgerman.This gives the bar a kind of irreverent style, which seems to shun the overworked stylings of certain other bars in the area. Add a couple of decent DJ sets and reasonably priced (for the Nothern Quarter) drinks and you've got yourself all the ingredients for a brilliant night out into the wee small hours.
