Amen, praise the lord for this haunt! Once St Peter’s Catholic Church , now a flourishing bar and restaurant that is striking a familiar chord with ever punter and diner.
The Alma de Cuba is easy on the eyes, mouth, ears and pocket! This Caribbean–themed bar and restaurant is bubbling with delicacies, especially it’s Rib eye steak! And drink wise you will not be disappointed!
Religious painting, chapel–like interior and candle lit lighting , you will need to forget greed is a sin here!

The credit crunch has yet to reach this hedonistic Scouse mecca. A spectacular bar that is still packing in the punters. Stained glass and marble make this a place to take a date if your gonna impress her boys!
The girls dress up and dance, the boys preen. Everyone here tries to be glam. Watch the petals drop and girls screem!
There was plenty of controversy surrounding the opening of this bar. Although it was no longer a church, in a manner of speaking, the fact that it had been a church bothered some people. However, once inside, you realise it's beauty. The pews had been turned into seating areas with a table in between, the alter remained in it's usual place but it wasn't threatening in anyway. Again, it is beautiful and the fews from the restaurant area upstairs are fantastic.
The drinks are well within the average customers price range and they are lovely! They offer a wide range of basic drinks but the cocktails are worth a try! Their mojito's are very tasty and quite cheap too! This place attracts a large crowd but mainly on a weekend. If you just fancy a quiet drink with your friends then it's best to go on a weekday but despite it being quite, you are still guaranteed a good night out.

LOVE this place... food, staff, ambiance, BRILL
As a cash-strapped student who spends a lot more time in Lago and the Raz (blue angel) on this street, going to the more expensive Alma De Cuba seemed a bit of an extravagance. I was always told how amazing a bar it was and so me and a couple of friends went there the other day for a couple of drinks. On walking into the place you are amazed. The decor and surroundings are magnificent - so much so that you forget you are on seel street, liverpool. I was also expecting to be met with some stuck-up types but was surprised at how friendly the service was. If I was going here again I'd wear a shirt to fit in, but on this occasion I was wearing a hoodie and had no problems whatsoever. Great place.
