I know what you mean but i went there a few Mondays ago and spoke to a sax player called Albert and he told me they are playing there alternate Mondays. Fantastic jazz, we really recommend it.

What happened to The Old Kings Head Pub? Instead of the great jazz bands there's Justin Timberlake (?!) on CD, the staff are just a robots, the place has lost the human touch.. This all has changed the previously happy and interesting crowd - well - where is the crowd? It used to be a five star pub but these days..

The plays, two early Stoppards, are imaginatively transposed to the the stage by director TP Kael. There are fine acting performances from May Moore and Mark Webb and some nice lighting effects. I was caught up in the story of the second, longer, piece, which was oddly moving. My only gripe would be that there were some uneven and overloud sound effects at times, but overall a lunchtime well spent...
