This bar is easily missed in Islington. We only noticed this place by taking a wrong turn off Upper Street. Needless to say once we spotted this gem, we never made it to our destined venue.It's petite in size and chairs are offered sparingly, but if you don't mind standing, standing and, err, standing then the Canonbury Lane will suit you dandy.

25 is a bar/pub hybrid which, when I heard it struck me as something that probably wouldn't work but in fact I was pleasantly surprised it is full of character and has a really nice atmosphere. The chic chandeliers and comfy chairs make the decor very classy and attractive and so unsurprisingly a lot of trendy types frequent it. The cocktail menu is excellent with lots of old fashioned and new fangled drinks, best in the area. The staff are very welcoming, much more so than you might expect for a place like this.
