If you always get the doors mixed up like yours truly, it makes sense that it would be the one facing the main road! (A handy word of advice) why we enter through the back - I have no idea!
Upon entering this club/bar you will be stung by the 70s wallpaper capturing the very retro traits that suffocated that era. With its split section ,just at a peek next door and you enter a bare room with wooden floor boards - that would eb the dancefloor. For comfort retreat back and you revel in the bar’s plumped sofas and not so sticky tabletops.
Their music is always good and if you do happen to go there for a gig it is cosily small, but deafening due to its matchbox size.

333 is an intimate affair. Chequered walls, tilted mirrors, leather sofas - it's Hoxton's very own living room and a great venue to see your new favourite band.
During the week you'll find local artistics sharing a bottle or red, while at the weekend herds of indiekid hope to see next years NME front cover band. The funny thing is, there's a strong possibility they will as 333's Mother Bar is becoming a 'must play' in the area. All unsigned bands are vetted by the venue before they perform so you'll hardly ever see a duffer.
In fact the only thumb downs are the entry price (up to £7 on Saturdays) and staff (...half... a... sleep) though unfortunately this seems to be the case across the board in Hoxditch.
If you're after some uber kool DJs and hipster clientele, 333 could be the ticket.

I have to disagree with the above comments. In it's time 333 was a good venue with great Dj's and a good atmosphere how it hasn't done a thing since it opened all those years ago. Outstanding line ups are no longer the pull as I guess the dj's got fed up with the sound system that i experianced when I last braved 333 a few months ago. An amazing location, perfect size but in serious need of new managment and a refurb
Its not often you can walk into a bar/club and expect a grandiose welcome from bouncers, regardless if you are fluttering your eyelids or not. But such pleasantries do exist at 333; it is indeed a force field full of friendly banter and people.Enclosed in the bar location is a throwback Seventies interior that will set you back (literally). Though space is limited, for those who like to venture further a field, you can pop yourself into their club. Yes, a club! The 333 has a 2 for 1 factor, but there is an entrance fee for the club. Like most of the intrigued you will be enticed to join the club frolics, and rest assure once you are in, there is no coming outwell, sober that is.
333 attracts a funny mixture of clientele - upmarket socialites, arty folk, boozie grown-ups and students, lots of students. Maybe they're all drawn here by the diverse mix of music, which can range from singalong cheese to dark drum and bass. Maybe theyre drawn here by the three floors of themed decor, including the dance basement and threadbare lounge. Maybe its the good work of promoters Perverted Science and Off Centre, who have done very well in booking talent and setting up the vibe of anti-commercialism. Who knows? One things for sure though, with an enormous queue outside on most nights of the week (and especially the weekend), you can expect this quirky east end venue to be around fora lot longer yet.
