I have just moved to the area, and was lucky enough to find this beautiful pub - wasn't too crowded on saturday afternoon, very friendly staff and the interior is just amazing.

Breathtaking is too small a word for the ceiling, the ornate gilded reliefs and friezes. The effect when entering make for a stunning and spectacle interior. The bar midweek is surprisingly relaxed, Chesterton’s and a roaring fire set a great but subdued atmosphere.
Excellent pub, great look and feel and seems like it's independently owned. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and the place was full but not too busy. The food was excellent, pork belly and sirloin roast. All round a pretty good place and way above many other pubs I have been to in London.

This is a stunning Victorian pub that has not been messed around with. The ceiling is amazing and the pub feels spacious and grand. To match the quality of the building is excellent food and friendly service. This pub wins on all fronts. Sunday roast is the best for miles and worth every penny of 9.50.
