one of my favourite resturants.
I have been using Zuccato since it first opened, and yes it has had outstanding times, and some poor times. It depends on the Manager and the Chef at the time. For the greater part it has been excellent with good food and service. But I have also had bad food and poor service by staff with a poor command of English.Fortunately these are rare occasions. If things do wrong staff do have a tendency to argue or deny what you say despite the obvious. But this is no different from most restaurants these days including some with famous celebrity owners. When Zuccato get it right it is one of the best restaurants in London, and when it goes wrong do not expect management to agree with you, the ethos that the customer is always right is lost at Zuccato.
This place deserves attention with its poor service and even worse overheated coffees, caesar salad was not fresh at all and barely english spoken staff, and miserable management is a story for different occasion!
I go there a lot as the menu is quite interesting and the food is usually excellent.
I think Zuccato problem is that they are not italian. Almost all the staff is polish (you know, they are cheaper and they can't complain!!).Anyway, don't leave tips: even if the service is good it goes to the owner and not to the staff (they can't complian)
